Built because a client was losing the 2am call
The company that answers gets the job.
Emergency work does not wait for business hours, and the alternatives were priced for companies ten times the size of the one that needed it. So we built it.

What we were handed, and what we took on
The scope.
A voice agent answers, asks the questions that trade actually needs asked, and routes the job by service zone, then skill, then who is genuinely on call, then round robin. The technician accepts or declines by text, so the job has an owner instead of sitting in a queue. The same capture and routing runs behind a website chat widget, and everything lands in the CRM the company already uses.

The parts that took the longest
What we built.
Answers the call
A voice agent picks up and captures what a dispatcher would.
Decides who gets it
Zone, then skill, then on-call, then round robin. Not a group blast to everyone.
Confirms by text
Accept or decline by SMS, so every job has an owner.
Pushes into the CRM
Not into a separate inbox nobody checks.
Other jobs that looked nothing like this one
More work.
